8th Annual Rome Shakespeare Festival kicks off Wednesday night with “Julius Caesar”

Starting on June 7th, the eighth annual Rome Shakespeare Festival is scheduled to kick off downtown at the Town Green with theatrical performances of “Julius Caesar.”

The festival, which is free to the public, will perform every night from June 7th until June 11th.

Wednesday’s performance will start at 6:00 PM with a preshow performance with opera selections by Indra Thomas and Timothy Renner, and also a ballet from the Baird Ballet.

 Food vendors will be on-site for the performance, and tables can be rented ahead of time.
