At approximately 4:36 pm Thursday, emergency responders were dispatched to the above location about a male subject who had been shot.

Responding units located the victim who had two visible gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Atrium Health Floyd where at last check he was receiving emergency treatment.

A suspect has been identified at the scene and is currently being processed by the RPD’s Criminal Investigation Division.

The Ashland Park apartments are located off Broadus Road in the Hwy 53/Ga Loop 1 intersection area.
