Rome-Floyd Chamber fills Forum for annual meeting

Almost 600 people packed the Forum on Thursday afternoon for the Rome Floyd Chamber’s annual meeting.

The event was emceed by Chamber President Pam Powers-Smith, with a welcome by Atrium Health Floyd President Kurt Stuenkel. Atrium Health Floyd was also the presenting sponsor.

The Rome Floyd Chamber is a nonprofit organization that works to promote prosperity in Rome and Floyd County for and through its business memberships. A chamber of commerce has existed in Rome and Floyd County since 1876.

They also provide support to local businesses by offering networking, advocacy, and resources and works closely with them to ensure that they thrive in Rome and Floyd County.

Awards were presented to several local businesses:

♦ Large Business of the Year: Hardy Realty & Development

♦ Nonprofit of the Year: Free Clinic of Rome

♦ Ambassador of the Year: Dondra Crawford

♦ Young Professional of the Year: Courtney Shepard
