Update: RoFlo Fest has been canceled. The following message is from Downtown Rome GA:

“Out of an abundance of caution and concern with the inclement weather taking more of a serious turn from rain to severe thunderstorms, we have made the unfortunate decision to call off this year’s RoFlo event. While we remained hopeful for improved weather, the safety of our community remains our top priority. We hope to see you all for First Friday on June 6th!”

Also, on Saturday, Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation will hold its Backyard BBQ Bash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lock and Dam Park.

The event will feature barbecue sampling, people’s choice voting, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, and more.

The gates open at 10 a.m., with sampling beginning immediately and continuing until 2:30 p.m. or while supplies last.

To participate in the barbecue sampling, attendees can purchase a sampling bracelet for just $5.

Baconfest in Cave Spring is still on
