Man arrested for meth, cocaine and ecstasy
A Rockmart man was recently arrested at a location on Redmond Circle in Rome on felony drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
48-year-old William Donnell Trammell Jr. had approximately 21 grams of methamphetamine, along with cocaine and ecstasy.
He is charged with possession of meth, cocaine, and a Schedule I controlled substance, all with the intent to distribute.
Trammell is also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Woman facing drug charges following the execution of a search warrant
The execution of a search warrant at a residence on Reservoir Street ended with the arrest of a Rome woman on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
20-year-old Amyra Sharon Finley was found with ecstasy pills and more than an ounce of marijuana.
She is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Man arrested after he was found sleeping in a parking lot
A man found sleeping in the middle of a parking lot OF Advance Auto Parts on Shorter Avenue was taken to jail after yelling and cursing at a police officer.
According to a Rome Police Department report:
The officer woke up the man, identified as 63-year-old Anthony Dean Burge, who appeared to be under the influence.
After the officer explained to Burge that sleeping in the parking lot of a closed business was not normal, Burge took offense and started using obscenities.
When the officer told Burge he would be taken to jail if he did not calm down, Burge said “I don’t give a damn about jail. I just got out of jail.”
Burge was arrested for public drunkenness, and 13 containers of alcohol were found in his backpack.
It was also discovered that he had multiple felony warrants for a probation violation.
