Man facing child molestation charges dating back to 2021
A Cedartown man has been arrested in an alleged sex crime involving a child dating back to as early as 2021.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
28-year-old Chad Wayne Paul committed an act of sodomy on a child under the age of 10 at a location on Ellis Road.
The incident date is listed as between January 2021 and December 2022.
Paul is charged with child molestation, aggravated child molestation, and aggravated sodomy.
Two arrested for child cruelty
Two Armuchee area residents were arrested on Wednesday on charges of 1st-degree cruelty to children.
According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:
39-year-old Krystal Lynn Hill and 39-year-old Daniel J. Morgan failed to provide sanitary and healthy living conditions at their West Big Indian Trail home for three children who had been placed with them.
The outside of the home was unsafe with an unstable structure, broken windows, and rotting furniture.
The inside of the home was caked with filth and animal odors.
There were also piles of clothing, trash, and rubbish throughout the home.
Woman accused of making $10K in unauthorized card purchases
A North Rome woman was arrested at her Couper Street home Wednesday on a felony warrant charging her with financial transaction card fraud.
According to the warrant:
55-year-old Rhonda Denise Wilson used someone else’s card without permission to make 73 transactions totaling over $10,000 between February 17 and April 13 of this year.
The owner of the card incurred overdraft fees as a result of the unauthorized purchases.
