Officials at AdventHealth are excited to announce they are breaking ground on a new cancer pavilion focused on women’s health and cancer services. Construction will begin in June in front of AdventHealth Stadium on Braves Boulevard near the intersection of Veterans Memorial Highway and Riverside Parkway.
“A cancer diagnosis impacts all areas of your life,” said Isaac Sendros, President and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “Too many patients and families in our community are battling cancer,” Sendros added. “We are excited to enhance the quality of cancer care in Floyd County as we partner with these families in the early diagnosis and personalized treatment of this challenging disease.”
AdventHealth’s cancer services in Rome will be part of AdventHealth’s existing comprehensive cancer care network in Northwest Georgia and expand access to world-class cancer care into Floyd County. The 30,000 square foot medical office building will include access to whole person care through medical oncology, infusion treatment and women’s imaging services. Additionally, the center will provide a dedicated team of oncologists, nurses, cancer care navigators, pharmacists and therapists, and it will offer amenities such as genetic screening for cancer, classes in diet and nutrition, financial education, emotional health and well-being, survivorship programs, oncology rehab, support groups, access to clinical trials, and other services dedicated to caring for the whole person.
“Now more than ever, it is critical for our community to know they have a choice for their health care services,” said Sendros, “and it is our honor to continue to provide an outstanding experience for the people who choose us for their care.”
The new medical pavilion is scheduled to open in Summer 2026. The community is invited to a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, May 30, at 2 pm on the south side of the parking lot of AdventHealth Stadium.
AdventHealth offers the broadest-reaching health care network in Northwest Georgia, providing services across 10 counties. AdventHealth also provides services at AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun and AdventHealth Murray in Chatsworth, as well as more than 40 physician practices and outpatient locations across the region and is continually expanding to address the health needs of our communities.
