-Staff reports-

Rehoboth Road is closing to allow for the construction of a new bridge.
The road is expected to close on Friday and will remain shut down for 120 days while a new bridge is constructed by F.S. Scarbrough Civil Contractors with oversight by the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Rehoboth Road is located in southwest Floyd County outside of Cave Spring near the Alabama state line.
The detour for this project will be Buttermilk Road off of Gadsden Highway (U.S. 411 / Ga 53).
This construction is part of the federally funded Local Impact Bridge Program managed by the state Department of Transportation.
The bridge on Rehoboth Road is county-maintained but qualifies for this funding, which was first distributed in 2014 to help local governments replace locally owned, weight-restricted bridges.
