Man accused of using deceased relative’s ID to sell vehicle scrap

A Lindale man is facing charges of theft by taking a motor vehicle, theft by deception, and identity fraud.

According to the arrest warrants:

40-year-old James Dewayne Barker used his deceased uncle’s identification to sell a vehicle for scrap on May 24.

The 2005 Nissan Altima, valued at $5,000, did not belong to Barker or his deceased uncle and was parked at the park and ride lot near a convenience store on Cartersville Highway.

Man charged in April burglary

An East Rome man was arrested Tuesday at his South McLin Street home on a felony warrant charging him with 1st-degree burglary.

According to the warrant:

20-year-old Carl Stanley Stair entered a vacant home on Cave Spring Street and stole $4,000 in snap-on gray flooring panels.

The burglary occurred between April 11 and April 24 of this year.

Stair is additionally charged with felony theft by taking and a probation violation.

Warrant: Man threatened to kill woman

A Rome man was arrested Tuesday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to an arrest warrant:

55-year-old Pascual Sebastian Miguel threatened to kill a woman.

The incident occurred on Monday at Miguel’s Boyd Valley Road home.
