An emergency road closure has been announced on Barron Road due to a water main break near the schools.

As a result of this significant break, additional repairs will be needed for cross-drains in the area.

This will likely result in a closure of the roadway through the weekend as both Floyd County Water and Public Works make repairs.

The location is identified as Barron Road between the Model High School football field entrance and the Middle School at the 3-way stop.

Barron Road connects Calhoun Road and Ward Mountain Road. Please identify alternate routes.
