A group of Chief Magistrate Judge Gene Richardson’s friends, family and legal peers gathered Friday in recognition of a life time of service, distinguished legal career and deep rooted commitment to his community.

Floyd County and Rome commissioners also issued a joint proclamation recognizing Judge Richardson and his recent award of the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Georgia Council of Magistrate Court Judges as well as a similar recognition from the Georgia Legislature.
