Woman accused of manufacturing “spice”

The execution of a search warrant at a home on Rolling Pines Road leads to the discovery of a lab used to manufacture K-2 or “Spice,” which is a Schedule I narcotic.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

31-year-old Martesha Lee Bly also had items used to distribute the narcotic, and was also found with psilocybin mushrooms and less than an ounce of marijuana.

She is charged with manufacturing K-2, two counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Man charged with theft by conversion

A Weaver, Alabama, man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with theft by conversion.

According to the warrant:

28-year-old Ahmad Malik Robinson rented a 2022 International MV607 truck from Penske rental on Shorter Avenue in Rome on May 8.

He was supposed to return the vehicle, valued at $57,000, on May 20, but failed to do so.

Demand letters were sent, but were returned due to being sent to an undeliverable address.

Robinson was found, still in possession of the vehicle, in Turner County, Georgia.
