Floyd County Jail Records –

  • A 55-year-old Rome man was arrested by the Rome Police Department Monday night for assault. According to Floyd County Jail records, Jefferson Brack Thompson allegedly attacked a victim with a knife at his home on Reservoir Street. The attack reportedly caused serious bodily injury to the victim. Thompson is being charged with felony aggravated assault.
  • A 36-year-old Forsyth woman was arrested by the Floyd County Police Department on Tuesday around midnight for charges related to disorderly conduct. According to Floyd County Jail records, Rachel Faye Garrett was allegedly observed burning paper towels in a bush on the property of the Armuchee McDonald’s, located on 2847 Martha Berry Highway. Reports state that Garrett then began allegedly swinging the burning towel in the air, which caused a scene. Police also stated that Garrett showed signs of being under the influence of some type of drug while she was walking along the side of GA 1, which placed her in potential danger due to her impaired state. Garrett is being charged with person under the influence and disorderly conduct.    
  • A 41-year-old Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Tuesday for multiple charges stemming from an incident last Saturday. According to Floyd County Jail records, Kendric Lamont Sewell allegedly threw a large rock through a bedroom window at a residence on Lester Lane, causing more than $500 in damage. He also reportedly caused a child under the age of 18 cruel or excessive pain, and committed felonies toward another victim, which allegedly made the child afraid to call 911. Sewell is being charged with felony second-degree criminal damage to property, felony cruelty to children, and terroristic threats and acts.
  • Two people were arrested Monday at the West Rome Walmart on forgery charges. According to Floyd County Jail records, 19-year-old Eva Marisol Marroquin and 24-year-old Yovani Roberto Lucas-Ramirez allegedly tried to use fake $20 bills to pay for groceries. The bills reportedly displayed “Motion Picture Use Only.” Both are being charged with felony first-degree forgery.
