Report: Woman kicked deputy during arrest

A West Rome woman is facing felony and misdemeanor obstruction charges following an incident at her Cottage Circle home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Deputies were attempting to arrest 40-year-old Chassitty Leane Hight on a probation violation warrant when she resisted, kicking one of the deputies in the upper thigh.

Man arrested for possession of cocaine

The execution of a search warrant at a room at the Seven Hills Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard led to the arrest of a North Rome man on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

55-year-old Tyrone Holloway was found with cocaine, digital scales, and packaging materials.

He is charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug-related objects.

Man arrested during road safety check

A Dallas, Georgia, man was recently arrested during a road safety check at the intersection of Highway 27 North and Highway 140 on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Both the driver and a passenger in the vehicle had warrants for their arrest.

During a consent search, a container with suspected methamphetamine was located along with used syringes.

42-year-old Timothy Hugh Hurst is charged with possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.
