Report: Imnate threatens to blow up courthouse

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to Jail records:

42-year-old Heith Hadden Swanson told his mother, “I’m going to blow up the freakin’ Floyd County Courthouse.”

The threat was heard on the recorded phone line at the jail.

Swanson has been incarcerated since August 4, when he was arrested for aggravated stalking.

According to previous jail reports:

Swanson violated a temporary protective order twice in five days and even called the victim from jail, resulting in a second aggravated stalking charge.

Man facing drugs and weapons charges

A 19-year-old East Rome man was arrested Wednesday after he was reportedly found with painkillers and a firearm at a location on Brookwood Court.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Andre Lamar Allicott had oxycodone and a Glock 17, along with a small amount of marijuana.

He is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
