Man accused of breaking into home while two children were inside

A North man is facing charges of 1st-degree burglary and criminal trespass following his arrest on Tuesday.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

25-year-old Adairius Malik Orr forced his way into a residence on Reynolds Street on August 29, damaging the door.

Two children were in the home at the time and heard the burglary taking place.

As a result, Orr is also charged with two counts of 3rd-dgree cruelty to children.

Cobb County man charged with felony possession of marijuana

A Marietta man is facing a felony possession of marijuana charge following his arrest at Charlton Street and Raymond Avenue in Rome on Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

20-year-old Addofo Bakari Elbey was initially cited for driving with an expired tag, but was then found with over an ounce of marijuana, 47 grams to be specific.
