The Rome City Commission will consider Tax Allocation District funding for property on North Fifth Avenue when it meets on Monday.
Ira Levy is seeking TAD funding of no more than $50,000 a year for 10 years for the purpose of rehabilitating the properties for residential and retail use at 258 North Fifth Avenue.
The area is within Tax Allocation District I.
Under a TAD, any increase in property taxes stemming from improvements would be funneled back into the project for a set number of years.
