Bluegrass music and activities on every block of Broad Street, including a car show, will all be a part of Saturday’s Fiddlin’ Fest.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Broad Street will be closed from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. between the 100 and 400 blocks,” said Kristi Kent with Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism. “You can park anywhere around that area. Of course, they do have the three-hour parking limit if you are not in a parking deck.”
The Roman Chariot shuttle service will be running early at 11 a.m.
“They typically start at 5 p.m., but they are going to start early,” Kent said. “If you have to park a little further out, you can text your location to (706) 413-2822, and they will come pick you up. We do have a map of the area where they can go at romegeorgia.org/chariot.”
The free street festival will feature music on two live music stages.
On the North Stage, Fischer Lord, Little Country Giants, Seventeen Wheeler, and Jeremy Wells and Friends will be performing, while Gypsy Outfit, Cousin Clem, Bettin’ on the Mule, and Jesse & The Boys will be featured on the South Stage.
There will also be festival foods, kids’ crafts and activities, along with the plein air festival, where artists will be set up around the festival area, painting what’s around them.
