A Rockmart man has been arrested in a reported assault with a knife that occurred on Saturday at a home on Old Wax Road. 

According to Floyd County Jail records: 

35-year-old Brandon Lee Waddell struck a 37-year-old woman across the face with a large kitchen knife, causing a deep laceration across the bridge of the victim’s nose. 

Waddell also head-butted the victim in the face. 

He is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
