A Silver Creek woman has been arrested on charges of criminal attempt to kidnap a minor, false statements and writings, 1st-degree forgery, and false statements or writings.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
48-year-old Dolly Kay Womack stated that she had court-ordered custody of a 9-year-old child and presented a fake or fraudulent court order in Polk County Superior Court.
She then went to the victim’s address in an attempt to take the child.
When officers questioned her, Womack admitted that she had created the false document, and she did not have custody.
