My Chemical Romance is facing a legal dispute over costumes resembling the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ uniforms used during the band’s recent Hollywood Bowl performances in Los Angeles.
On October 23, 2026, Pro Silver Star, the company responsible for protecting the cheerleaders’ branding, filed a motion seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against the band.
The dispute follows an October 21 concert where dancers appeared onstage wearing cheerleader-inspired outfits and carrying prop guns as part of the show’s theatrical storyline.
The company argues that the costumes closely resemble the official Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders uniforms and could lead audiences to believe the organization was involved in or endorsed the performance.
The legal action focuses on preventing further use of the disputed designs rather than restricting the band’s music or live shows.
The Hollywood Bowl performances are part of My Chemical Romance’s celebration of the 20th anniversary of its influential 2006 album, The Black Parade.
The case raises questions about the use of recognizable sports branding in theatrical concert productions.
