The contests for the November General Election have been set.
Rick Jackson defeated Burt Jones in the Republican Primary Runoff for Governor and will now face Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms in November.
For U.S. Senate, Mike Collins defeated Derek Dooley in the Republican Primary Runoff and will face incumbent Democrat Jon Ossoff in the General Election.
For the U.S. House of Representatives in District 11, John Cowan defeated fellow Republican Rob Adkerson and will now face Democrat Chris Harden in the fall.
Judy Craig defeated Dakota Grogan to win election to the Gordon County Board of Education in Post 7.
In Bartow County, Republican David McKalip will face Democrat Willie J.E. Coombs in November after winning his runoff with Deanna Berry.
Looking at other races….
For Lt. Governor, it will be Republican Greg Dolezal against Democrat Josh McLaurin.
Dolezal defeated John F. Kennedy in the Republican runoff, while McLaurin defeated Nabilah Parkes in the Democratic runoff.
For Secretary of State, Tim Fleming defeated Vernon Jones on the Republican ballot, while Penny Brown Reynolds defeated Dana Barrett on the Democratic ballot.
For State School Superintendent, incumbent Richard Woods narrowly escaped a challenge from Fred “Bubba” Longgrear. Woods will now face Democrat Lydia Powell.
For Commissioner of Insurance, Keisha Sean Waites defeated DeAndre Mathis in the Democratic runoff and will now face incumbent Republican John King.
For Georgia Public Service Commission, District 5, Josh Tolbert defeated Bobby Mehan in the GOP runoff and will face Democrat Sheila Edwards.
For Labor Commissioner, Democrat Nikki Porcher defeated Michelle Michi Sanchez and will take on incumbent Republican Bárbara Rivera Holmes in the General Election.
