The Rome Board of Education meeting will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting will be held at the Rome City Schools College and Career Academy located on Veterans Memorial Highway.
The caucus will be held at 4:00 p.m. in Room A211, and the regular meeting will start at 5:45 p.m. in Room A201.
Agenda items include an update on enrollment numbers and a school safety spotlight.
There will be another spotlight on the Rome City Schools’ 2026 kickoff.
During Public Recognition, the board will honor Rome Middle School and Main Elementary School, who were recently named Achievement Schools for meeting the exit criteria for federal identification.
The board will also recognize Anna K. Davie and Main Elementary, who were named CSI Progress Schools, as well as honoring 2026 retirees and members of the Superintendent Wisdom Academy Council.
Second reading of policies regarding leaves of absence for employees is also on the agenda.
