-Staff reports-
A 2.4 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Gordon County on Saturday morning.
The center was just over six miles west-northwest of Resaca.
It occurred at a depth of five and a half miles at around 4:54 am.
Earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.5 or less are usually not felt, but can be recorded by seismograph.
Low magnitude quakes are more common than you think.
There are about a million of them each year.
