Charges have been filed in a fatal crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist in South Rome earlier this month.
34-year-old Demeatrice Deshawn C. Askew of Adairsville died after his motorcycle and a Toyota Corolla collided on August 7 at the corner of Glover Street and Branham Avenue near Lovejoy Baptist Church.
The driver of the Toyota, 45-year-old Christina Cammon of Rome, has been charged with a misdemeanor count of 2nd-degree homicide by vehicle and a stop sign violation.
According to the arrest warrants:
Cammon ran a stop sign, causing the crash.
