Matthew Thomas
The Rome-Floyd County Development is expected to officially hire a new president and chief executive officer during a called meeting on Tuesday morning.
Last month, Matthew Thomas, a seasoned economic development professional, was named as the sole finalist for the job.
Thomas currently serves as the deputy director of the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development, a position he has held since August of 2023.
The board will go into an executive session to discuss personnel, real estate, and litigation during Tuesday’s meeting, which begins at 9 a.m. at the Rome-Floyd Development Authority office at 800 Broad Street, Suite 102.
