A proposed new affordable housing development near AdventHealth Stadium is moving forward following the awarding of a 9 percent housing tax credit through the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
Earlier this year, the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority voted to support the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit application, submitted by developer Woda Cooper, as the project supports the authority’s mission to provide affordable housing.
The development, known as Augustus Crossing, is expected to include 52 units in total and will be located at Riverpoint Place.
The apartments will be for individuals and families earning between 50% and 70% of the Area Median Income.
