Recently retired NFL Running Back Nick Chubb visited Floyd County on Thursday to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Originally from Cedartown, Nick Chubb returned to his stomping grounds of Northwest Georgia to help kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Harbin Clinic in Rome. Chubb briefly spoke at the event before signing autographs and taking pictures with staff.
“Thanks for having me, I was born and raised here in Cedartown Georgia and this area means a lot to me. Thanks for following along with me in my career through Georgia and Cleveland and so on. I’m happy to be here, happy to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”

The event mainly consisted of short speeches by different members of staff at the clinic, all discussing developments in cancer treatment.
“Cancer treatment’s come a long way and there’s still more work we can do. But because of the advances in medicine, the dedication of our healthcare team and the strength of our patients there is more hope today than ever before.”
-Micah Hughes, PharmD
