-Floyd County Jail records-
Eight people were arrested on various charges at an apartment on Annie Aycock Lane off of East 14th Street in East Rome on Sunday.
According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:
23-year-old Destanie Sky Huckaby maintained an apartment that was regularly used by people for the unlawful use and possession of controlled substances, including marijuana, between April 29 and September 30.
Huckaby, who reportedly had an affiliation with the Bounty Hunter Bloods criminal street gang, also allowed a 14-year-old child to use nitrous oxide for non-medical purposes.
During the execution of a search warrant, Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force Officers recovered stolen firearms from the residence.
Huckaby is charged with participation in criminal street gang activity, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of dangerous drugs, theft by receiving stolen property, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances activity.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Mikell Rashad Mayes and 17-year-old Elijah Jarias Lawrence, purported members of The Bloods, were also arrested and charged with participation in criminal street gang activity, possession of an automatic firearm, and possession of a firearm by someone under the age of 18.
According to the arrest warrant:
On July 6, they were in possession of a firearm that was equipped with a switch attachment that converts the weapon to a machine gun, capable of firing more than six shots by a single pull of the trigger.
Lawrence is additionally charged with theft by receiving a stolen firearm.
A man already in the Floyd County Jail has also been charged in connection with the converted firearm.
18-year-old Jackie David Cantrell III was originally arrested on July 22 after he reportedly shot at a man from a moving vehicle on Avenue C in Lindale.
He is charged with three counts of participation in criminal gang activity, one count of violation of the criminal street gang act and one count of possession of an automatic firearm.
Also arrested at the apartment on Sunday were:
21-year-old Jamir Tyree McKee, 18-year-old Jasmine Rae Dean, 20-year-old Paris Brin Chatman, 17-year-old Tyrell Marquis Wedgeworth Jr., and 17-year-old Terrik Tyshawn Ware, who are all charged with theft by receiving a stolen firearm.
McKee is additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a probation violation.
