-News Release-
The Rome/Floyd County Drug Court is proud to announce that the program has officially been renamed REACH Court, reflecting both the growth of the program and the purpose behind the work being done each day to support individuals, families, and the community.
REACH stands for:
- Recovery
- Empowerment
- Accountability
- Commitment
- Hope
For years, Drug Court has provided individuals affected by substance use disorders with a structured and accountable alternative designed to support recovery, reduce recidivism, and strengthen our community. The name REACH Court better represents the comprehensive work taking place within the program and the expectations placed on every participant who walks through its doors.
Recovery is a climb, and every step upward matters. The program’s motto, “Ascending with Purpose,” reflects the courage, perseverance, accountability, and support required to build a different life.
REACH Court provides a structured, supportive, and accountable pathway toward lasting recovery and positive life change through evidence-based treatment, individualized case management, drug testing, recovery support, community connection, and personal responsibility. Participants are encouraged to take ownership of their recovery while developing the skills and stability needed to move forward with confidence and purpose.
The transition to REACH Court does not change the accountability or integrity of the program. Instead, it gives a clearer identity to the mission that has continued to grow and evolve within Rome and Floyd County.
Participants are not simply completing phases or meeting program requirements. They are building the tools, relationships, stability, and confidence needed to create a healthier and more productive future.
“REACH Court is more than a new name,” said Judge William Sparks. “It represents who we are, what we believe, and what we want every person who enters our program to know: recovery is real, change is possible, and there is always hope.”
REACH Court looks forward to continuing to work alongside judiciary, county leadership, community partners, treatment providers, families, and participants to strengthen the program and expand opportunities for recovery and success.
