We are deeply grateful for the GBI’s swift and professional response and have full confidence in their handling of this ongoing investigation.

We also wish to express our sincere appreciation to all agencies who responded and offered assistance. The unified effort from law enforcement across not only our city, but the entire county, was exemplary. Agencies came together as one team—demonstrating professionalism, coordination, and an unwavering commitment to public safety in a time of great adversity.

A special thank you is extended to our EMS personnel, fire departments, and 911 dispatchers. Your rapid response, dedication, and composure in the face of tragedy exemplify the very best of public service. Your efforts provided critical care, coordination, and comfort during an incredibly difficult moment, and we are truly grateful for your service.

As this is now an active investigation under the jurisdiction of the GBI, we are unable to release further details at this time. We understand and respect that the public has questions—many of which are born from care, concern, and a shared desire for clarity. Please know that these questions matter, and they will be addressed in time. However, to preserve the integrity of the investigation and protect the due process of justice, it is imperative that we allow the GBI the time and space to complete their work thoroughly and without interference.

We respectfully urge the public and members of the media to refrain from speculation or the dissemination of unverified information. While we acknowledge the emotional toll this incident has taken, misinformation can cause unnecessary distress and hinder investigative progress. Now, more than ever, truth and sensitivity must guide our words and actions.

All of us at the Aragon Police Department carry heavy hearts. This incident has touched us deeply, both as professionals and as fellow members of this community. We remain steadfast in our duty to serve and support our residents with compassion, integrity, and resolve. Our department stands ready to assist anyone in need during this difficult time.

We invite the community to continue offering their prayers, support, and compassion to the families directly impacted. May they find strength in the love that surrounds them and peace in the solidarity of a united community.

In closing, we offer this prayer for those who feel led to join in reflection:

“Heavenly Father, we approach You with heavy hearts in this time of sorrow. Bring peace to those who grieve, clarity to those who seek justice, and unity to our community as we walk through this valley together. Surround us with Your comfort, and guide us with Your grace. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
