Report: Man used stolen ID, forged documents to get job
A West Rome man has been arrested on charges of identity fraud, 1st-degree forgery, and giving a false name to law enforcement.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Lucido Cardona-Sanchez used a stolen identity and forged documents to gain employment.
The documents included the victim’s driver’s license, a forged ID, and a birth certificate.
Cardona-Sanchez also provided a false name to officers during the investigation.
Woman charged with meth possession
A South Rome woman was arrested at Cave Spring Street and Darlington Drive Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
61-year old Catherine Marie Martin admitted to having a glass smoking device and was later found with a quantity of suspected meth.
Martin is additionally charged with two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear in court and a felony probation violation.
