Man charged with aggravated assault
A West Rome man has been charged in a reported assault that occurred on Huffaker Road this past Saturday.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
34-year-old Shamari Tylee Agee brandished a firearm toward a woman twice during a verbal altercation in the presence of a child.
He also fired the gun into the air.
Agree is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and 3rd-degree cruelty to children.
Homeless man accused of entering home, vehicle on Nixon Avenue
A homeless man is facing a 1st-degree burglary charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
52-year-old Crawford Alexander Cammack entered a home on Nixon Avenue and had to be told by the resident to leave.
He also entered a 1976 Toyota pickup truck parked just up the street and took a bank card from the passenger seat.
Police had also previously banned Cammack from a residence on Cotton Avenue.
Cammack is additionally charged with entering an auto, criminal trespass, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Woman accused of discharging a firearm near a public street
A West Rome woman was jailed on Tuesday on charges of reckless conduct, discharging a firearm while under the influence, and discharging a firearm near a public street.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
21-year-old Liliana Chelsea Lopez discharged a Glock while about 15 yards away from Burnette Ferry Road, while she was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol.
Man arrested on drug charges
A Cedartown man was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 27 South at Welcome Hill Trail on Tuesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
43-year-old John William Head was operating his vehicle in an unsafe manner and was found in possession of a THC vape.
He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and driving under the influence of drugs.
Report: Woman found with over an ounce of marijuana during traffic stop
A Cave Spring woman was arrested Tuesday on Highway 27 South at Primrose Road on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
34-year-old Rebecca Caritina Byrd was found with more than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop.
She is charged with felony possession of marijuana.
