-Floyd County Jail records-
A West Rome woman has been charged in a crash on June 4 on Highway 27 South at Sanders Drive that claimed the life of a Rome woman and injured a child.
According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:
20-year-old Eva Marisol Marroquin failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign and pulled into oncoming traffic, causing a wreck.
Marroquin also failed to properly secure her 4-year-old daughter in a car safety seat.
Marroquin is charged with a misdemeanor count of 2nd-degree vehicular homicide, a child safety seat violation, a stop sign violation, and driving without insurance.
