-Floyd County Jail records-
A Rome woman has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of animal abandonment.
According to the arrest warrant:
23-year-old Itzel Guadalupe Reyes-Cruz abandoned 17 kittens at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church on August 8.
The kittens were three to four weeks old and were left in a cardboard box.
